The power of Jesus Christ is transformational,
and this is what the Student Ministry of First UMC calls teenagers to experience and explore. Students in grades 6-12 are invited to join in the pursuit of a lifestyle wholly committed to God as we encounter what it means to have a relationship with Jesus Christ.

Confirmation
Confirmation in the United Methodist Church is a unique journey into the history and context of the Bible, the origin of the church, and stories of faith. This class is offered to 6th grade students and to any older students who would like to join in for an in-depth Bible study. This class is based on the Credo curriculum and walks through the biblical narrative of creation to Christianity, digs into what the United Methodist Church is all about, and equips students to take their faith to a deeper level and embark on the next leg of their journey as disciples of Christ.
We get serious, but we also know how to have fun! Students use this time to ask the questions burning on their hearts and engage in activities and games that support the Bible lesson and create connection to God, His Word, and to one another.
Refreshments are provided.
Where do we meet?
All Student Ministry activities take place in the The Emerge Student Lounge (unless otherwise stated), which can be accessed through the 3rd street entrance. For more information, contact the church at 417.532.7153.
